Frequently Asked Questions about Photovoltaics
Yes, solar irradiance in central Hessen and the Lahn-Dill district is perfectly sufficient for an economically viable PV system. Most systems pay for themselves within 8–12 years.
That depends on your electricity consumption and available roof space. As a rule of thumb: a 4-person household needs a system of approx. 8–10 kWp. We calculate the optimal size individually for you.
Battery storage is not mandatory but highly recommended. It increases your self-consumption from approx. 30% to 70–80% and makes you largely independent from the grid.
There are currently low-interest KfW loans and BAFA grants for PV systems and battery storage. We advise you free of charge on available programmes and help with the application.
